Introduction
Amplify CWP Enhanced Dividend Income ETF (DIVO) combines an income-focused strategy with the potential for share-price appreciation. This visualization compares how its year-end share price and annual distributions per share evolved from 2017 through 2025. Both series are indexed to 100 in 2017, making it easier to see how price growth and Distribution Growth differed over the period.
Key insights
Distribution Growth Outpaced Price Growth
By 2025, DIVO’s price index reached 154 while its distribution index reached 258. That corresponds to Price Growth of +53.6% since 2017 versus Distribution Growth of +158.2%.
Distribution Growth Was Uneven
DIVO’s Distribution CAGR from 2017 through 2025 was 12.6%, but the path was not smooth. Annual distributions per share rose sharply in 2019, declined in 2020, remained nearly unchanged between 2022 and 2023, and increased again by 2025. The unusually large year-end distributions in 2019 and 2025 contributed to temporary spikes in the annual figures.
Yield on Cost Increased on the Fixed 2017 Cost Basis
Annual distributions represented 3.8% of the baseline-year price in 2017 and 9.9% in 2025. This yield-on-cost measure uses the 2017 year-end price as a fixed cost basis; it is not DIVO’s current yield. Across the full period, both share price and annual distributions increased, with distributions growing substantially faster.
Methodology
Both series are indexed to 100 using 2017 as the baseline year. The price series uses split-adjusted year-end closing prices and is not dividend-adjusted, so it measures price change only. The distribution series tracks annual distributions per share. Cash distributions are not reinvested, so this visualization is not a total-return chart. Yield on cost is calculated as annual distributions per share relative to the 2017 year-end price, which remains the fixed cost basis throughout the period. DIVO’s distribution schedule changed over time, moving from quarterly distributions in 2017 to monthly distributions. Unusually large year-end distributions in 2019 and 2025 also affected the annual Distribution Growth series.
